Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience. They combine practical work experience with on and off the job training leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

What types of Apprenticeships do you offer and how many?

We currently offer apprenticeships in:
Business Administration - working between our Finance, HR and Quality & Performance departments to support out customer facing staff.
Housing Management - dealing with Tenancy related issues.
Property Services -  involved in the repairs and maintenance of our properties (known as “Trade” roles - Plumbing, Roofing Electrics, and Joinery).

We expect to have between 11-12 apprentices in post at any one time.​

We will be promoting the vacancies within the local community venues with information and posters.  We will also be contacting the careers Service with information regarding our recruitment.  Information will be available on our recruitment website and updates available on Facebook.

Depending on the apprenticeship programme you can expect to be offered a fixed term contract for either two or three years (Renewable at the end of each year subject to satisfactory progression).
We offer two rates of pay depending on the type of apprenticeship. These rates are regardless of age and increase after each year dependent on you successfully completing each year of the programme as set on the table:

These rates are in excess of the rates set by the Government of £2.60 per hour.
​The hours worked will be 37 hours. However, these hours may vary depending on the area of the organisation in which you will be working. However, the standard hours will be 9m-5pm if based in an office environment or 8am-4pm if you are working within a trade role.
Like other employees you will be given at least 25 days paid holiday per year as well as bank holidays.
All apprentices are encouraged and supported to apply for posts internally and with our partner organisations.  We have a dedicated Employment Initiatives Officer who can offer information, support and guidance on alternative employment opportunities.  We can also access support via a range of agencies such as Connexions, Job Centre Plus and Warrington Disability Partnership if they need further assistance.
Managers receive training in employee development, performance and absence. They are provided access to a comprehensive Managers’ Guide and are supported by our Human Resources team. We have a wealth of experience within our organisation and access to the tools and training to deliver a successful programme.
We have a dedicated Employment Initiatives Officer in our Employment Team who will coordinate the Apprenticeship programme and an experienced HR team who will provide support for employees and Managers.​
