Complete with the added reassurance that tailored care and support is available, assessed to your current, or future, individual needs.

Built on the former Bayleaf Restaurant site, Harpers Green is a place to enjoy the good things in life, with each purpose-built home designed and developed to help maintain your way of life for as long as possible. 

Harpers Green offers modern, high quality, self-contained apartments with your own front door.  Each apartment has a kitchen, a bathroom with level access wet rooms, one or two-bedrooms and a living area.  They are designed specifically to accommodate people with mobility issues and to provide a comfortable and safe environment.

The cutting-edge scheme will also boast a hairdressing salon and bistro, both of which will be open to the local community.

Along with exclusive facilities for residents, including; a guest suite, spacious communal areas, laundry room, gardens and assisted bathroom.

Local bowling enthusiasts are thrilled with the restoration of the existing bowling green, which will also be restored for use via the local club.

Onsite care provision

Harpers Green Extra Care Scheme offers you the chance to move into accommodation designed with the over 55s in mind, where you can remain independent for as long as possible with individually assessed care and support on-site, should you need them.

Extra Care offers a self-contained home of your own where social activities are easy to find, and help is on hand, if you need it.  It often appeals to couples where one might be relatively fit and the other less so, providing a secure living environment that reassures relatives.

Harpers Green is more than just a home, it is a Scheme that actively promotes and encourages physical and mental wellbeing.  Residents will be able to access an extensive health and wellbeing package from Torus Support Network, provided by the Torus Foundation, which offers opportunities to socialise and provides access to a wide range of group activities.

Extra Care is all about ensuring your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Harpers Green has an emergency alarm which lets you call for assistance should you need it, with staff carrying out regular wellbeing checks for all residents.  ‘Assistive’ technology is also installed throughout the building, which allows residents to contact the team for emergency help and can also be used with a range of devices such as falls pendants and activity sensors to allow residents to stay independent for longer.  

24/7 on-site care and support will be provided by award winning provider Making Space along with Torus Support Network housing team.

Making Space currently provides care at 10 other extra care housing schemes around the UK, all of which are rated ‘Good’ by health and social care watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Applications should be made through the Under One Roof website. Applications are assessed via the Allocations Panel comprising Torus, Adult Social Care and Making Space.
